Inside job on new
iPhone
Apple has revealed
their latest release of the iPhone and, it seems,
despite claims of seismic changes, all improvements
are on the inside, with the new model looking
identical to the last. |

Apple has
unveiled its new iPhone 4S at a conference in San Francisco,
guardian.co.uk reports.
Despite rumours circulating of Apple unveiling their new iPhone 5,
the "Let's talk iPhone" conference was, in fact, to unveil its new
4S model.
Voice activation
Whilst the
look of the new model is exactly the same as the previous iPhone 4,
the new 4S will come bundled in with a raft of new features, as well
as the new iOS5 software.

The most well received new feature was that of Siri, a voice
activation app that was once sold by a third party on the
Apple Marketplace. Seeing the potential, Apple bought Siri
and is now using it as a central feature of its new devices.
The unveiling of Siri was buoyed with a successful
demonstration, something which famously alluded Bill Gates
in a similar conference in 1999. |

4S cell - no battery is stronger longer
Elsewhere,
the 4GS is set to work twice as fast as its predecessors, coming
bundled in with the same A5 processor present in the iPad2. Battery
life is also set to be extended and the camera has been upgraded to
8 megapixels.
Many journalists were left disappointed, however, with the much
rumoured iPhone 5 alluded to but nowhere to be seen.
Apple boss Tim Cook enthused at the conference: "Only Apple can make
such amazing software, hardware and services and bring them together
into such a powerful yet integrated experience," uknews.yahoo.com
reports.
This, perhaps, is the legacy of the recently deceased Steve Jobs.
