Geoff’s Rants and Raves – Fibre Broadband

To keep things balanced my second installment is a Geoff Rave for Fibre Broadband.

At the Office we now have two Fibre Broadband connections; one BT Infinity for Business and one Zen Fibre Office. All I can say is wow! We used to have a couple of very good ADSLs running at 6 to 8Mb/s but look below for what we get for just a few pounds more –

This five times speed increase has benefited our internet experience immensely. We have improved VPN connections to the office and out to customers, and I can now leave my YouTube channel running all day just to annoy the rest of the staff!

Just one word of warning, getting such a good connection will mean you use the internet even more, so be wary of download caps and fair usage policies. Being cut off mid-month is very inconvenient.

Many areas have recently been upgraded so check if you can upgrade.

Business customers please note you will probably need a new Router to enjoy this new technology. We are, as always, more than happy to help with advice, organising upgrades and supply of new equipment so just give me or one of my colleagues a ring.
